The hospital’s clinical team has completed comprehensive training on the Rise&Walk® InClinic, and the system is now fully live within its therapy program, bringing the world’s first 3-in-1 robotic rehabilitation station to one of Northeastern Pennsylvania’s most established inpatient rehabilitation providers.

Allied Services Heinz Rehab Hospital is a CARF-accredited inpatient rehabilitation hospital and part of Allied Services Integrated Health System, a nonprofit organization that has served Northeastern Pennsylvania since 1965. The hospital provides comprehensive rehabilitative care for adult and pediatric patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, amputation, joint replacement, Parkinson’s disease, and other complex neurological and orthopedic conditions, supported by a multidisciplinary team of rehabilitation medicine physicians, therapists, nutritionists, social workers, and psychologists. The Rise&Walk is the world’s first 3-in-1 rehabilitation station, combining robotic-assisted gait training, seated reciprocal stepping, and standing balance support in a single compact system. Purpose-built for inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) workflows, the Rise&Walk allows a single clinician to deliver high-intensity, high-repetition therapy sessions generating between 1,500 and 2,000 steps per session, supporting the neuroplasticity-driven recovery that is foundational to lasting functional improvement. With real-time rate of perceived exertion (RPE) tracking, therapists can individualize each session to a patient’s tolerance and progression, keeping therapy evidence-based and goal-oriented.

The addition allows younger patients recovering from neurological and orthopedic conditions to benefit from the same evidence-based, robotic-assisted therapy already available to the hospital's adult IRF population, extending Rise&Walk's reach across the full age range of patients Allied Services serves.
