OAK CREEK, WI – Healing Innovations, a Nashville-based medical technology company specializing in rehabilitation robotics, is proud to announce its partnership with Rehabilitation Hospital of Oak Creek, a Lifepoint hospital serving patients throughout southeastern Wisconsin. The hospital's clinical team has completed comprehensive training, and the Rise&Walk InClinic is now fully live at the facility, bringing the world's first 3-in-1 robotic rehabilitation station to one of the region's leading inpatient rehabilitation programs.
Rehabilitation Hospital of Oak Creek is a brand new, state-of-the-art, 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital dedicated to helping individuals regain their independence and return to the lives they love following an injury or illness. The hospital provides specialized rehabilitation programs for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation, and complex orthopedic conditions, guided by a mission to maximize the health, function, and quality of life of those it serves.
The Rise&Walk is the world's first 3-in-1 rehabilitation station, combining robotic-assisted gait training, seated reciprocal stepping, and standing balance support in a single compact system. Purpose-built for rehabilitation workflows, the Rise&Walk allows a single clinician to deliver high-intensity, high-repetition therapy sessions generating between 1,500 and 2,000 steps per session, supporting the neuroplasticity-driven recovery that is foundational to lasting functional improvement. With real-time rate of perceived exertion (RPE) tracking, therapists can individualize each session to a patient's tolerance and progression, keeping therapy evidence-based and goal-oriented.
“Partnering with Rehabilitation Hospital of Oak Creek is a proud milestone for our team. Their clinical staff approached training with real dedication, and that kind of intentional adoption is exactly what makes a launch like this successful. We’re excited to see the Rise&Walk active in Oak Creek and look forward to the impact it will have for patients across southeastern Wisconsin,” said Luke Benda, CEO and co-founder of Healing Innovations.
For the patients Rehabilitation Hospital of Oak Creek serves, many of whom are navigating complex, life-altering neurological conditions, the addition of the Rise&Walk represents meaningful access to a more versatile, intensive approach to gait rehabilitation. The technology is designed to support patients living with stroke-related motor deficits, traumatic brain injury, incomplete or complete spinal cord injuries, and a range of other neurological and orthopedic conditions. The Rise&Walk's three-mode design means a single system can meet patients where they are in their recovery journey and adapt as they progress, from early standing and weight-bearing to active gait training.
“At Rehabilitation Hospital of Oak Creek, we are always looking for evidence-based, patient-centered innovations that can elevate the standard of care we provide. Bringing the Rise&Walk into our rehabilitation program gives our clinical team a powerful, versatile tool to meet patients at every stage of their recovery. We’re excited about what this technology will mean for our patients and proud to bring this level of advanced rehabilitation to the Oak Creek community,” said Taylor Wickman, Director of Therapy at Rehab Hospital of Oak Creek
The launch at Rehabilitation Hospital of Oak Creek reflects Healing Innovations' continued growth among Lifepoint hospitals nationwide, as the two organizations work together to bring advanced rehabilitation technology to more patients and clinical teams across the country.
