NASHVILLE, TN, April 27, 2021 – Healing Innovations, Inc. today announced that they are the recipient of this year’s Tech Startup of the Year award, one of the most prestigious awards available to Nashville technology startups. The honor is given as part of the 12th annual awards organized by the Nashville Technology Council (NTC).

“Our journey began a couple years ago when a friend of mine got in a car accident,” says Luke Benda, Co-founder and CEO of Healing Innovations. “We saw firsthand the challenges that exist for patients recovering from these kinds of injuries, and we decided to do something about it. Now, getting this product to market, and seeing it acknowledged as a potentially transformative product, is the culmination of that journey. The award is a tremendous honor, one that we’re so grateful for. And we’re even more excited that every day the technology we’ve developed is helping more patients take more steps.”

The NTC’s annual awards, with their goal of, “Connecting, uniting, developing and promoting Middle Tennessee’s rich community of developers and technology entrepreneurs, enthusiasts and institutions,” continue to be one of the local industry’s most important industry events. Last year’s winner, Givful, was recently in Nashville news having been acquired for an undisclosed sum by iSolved, a Charlotte, NC-based leader in HR management.

Together, Healing Innovations and Givful, along with other Nashville standouts like biotech’s HeroWear, and fintech’s Alto Solutions, represent a growing group of Nashville startups that are collectively turning Music City into an innovation scene. Together with longtime area organizations, they’re attracting the world’s attention, and contributing to the recent recruitment of global conglomerates like Oracle.
