CASPER, WY – Healing Innovations, a medical technology company specializing in the rehabilitation robotics industry, is proud to announce a partnership with Elkhorn Valley Rehabilitation Hospital (EVRH). This collaboration introduces the Rise&Walk® InClinic technology to the region, offering patients in Wyoming and neighboring states access to state-of-the-art robotic therapy designed to accelerate recovery from neurological and mobility impairments.
Elkhorn Valley Rehabilitation Hospital, a member of the Ernest Health network, is a specialized rehabilitation facility ranked in the top 10% of rehabilitation facilities nationwide by the Uniform Data System for Medical Rehabilitation (UDSMR). By adopting the Rise&Walk® system, EVRH reinforces its commitment to providing patient-centered, effective, and efficient care for individuals recovering from stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, and other complex conditions.
"The Rise&Walk has been an extremely valuable addition to our hospital. Both our staff and patients thoroughly enjoy using the system," said Carrie Clark, Director of Therapy at Elkhorn Valley Rehabilitation Hospital. “Since implementation in August of 2025, the machine has served 90 patients who have collectively taken 291,591 steps, totaling 83.88 miles. Each step taken on the Rise&Walk represents one step further down the road to recovery, regaining independence, and returning home safely.”
The Rise&Walk® is the world’s first 3-in-1 rehabilitation station, integrating robotic-assisted gait training, seated reciprocal stepping, and standing balance support. It is designed to synchronize upper and lower extremity movements, mimicking natural walking patterns to maximize neural engagement.
For patients recovering from debilitating injuries, repetition is vital. While traditional manual therapy may limit a patient to 50–350 steps per session due to fatigue or physical limitations, the Rise&Walk® allows patients to achieve between 1,500 and 2,000 steps in a single session. This high-intensity training is essential for promoting neuroplasticity and functional recovery.
"We are thrilled to partner with Elkhorn Valley Rehabilitation Hospital, a facility that has earned national recognition for its leadership in healthcare," said Luke Benda, CEO of Healing Innovations. "We look forward to supporting their specialized medical professionals as they utilize this technology to improve mobility and quality of life for patients across Wyoming."
Located at 5715 East 2nd Street in Casper, Elkhorn Valley Rehabilitation Hospital features a comprehensive 6,000-square-foot therapy gym, an aquatic therapy pool, and a therapeutic courtyard. The integration of the Rise&Walk® adds a new dimension to their robust therapy offerings, ensuring patients have the most advanced tools available for their recovery journey.
